Vanguard Group CD

Vanguard offers CDs in both the primary and secondary market. Its new issue CDs by FDIC insured commercials banks that are offered in the primary market. CD offerings range from 1 month to 10 years. While Vanguard does not charge a commision for CDs purchased in the primary market it may receive a concession for the issuer ofthe CDs.

While Vanguard offers CDs, related fixed income products also offered by Vanguard including a range of access to treasuries and municipal bonds. These may have fixed income properties and are also government guaranteed, however unlike CDs, some treasuries may be exempt from state and local income tax.
